Burberry's Back Crosses - Later Gen Olive Egger Hatching Eggs
SOLD OUT FOR 2025. Check Out The Rainbow Dozen
You can now find our Burberry BackCrosses in our Rainbow Dozens and Mixed Dozens.
Please read the Shipping Agreement BEFORE you check out as you are agreeing to the Terms & Conditions and Shipping Agreement at Checkout. Backcrosses are hybrid birds. They do NOT lay true. The eggs you are SEEING are not the eggs that the hens will lay. The ligher eggs lay the darker eggs if they inherit the Olive Egger gene. The hens that come out of the eggs you have hatched will go on to lay a darker olive egg or a brown egg.
We include 2 extra eggs. These eggs are a variety of whatever is available on that day. Generally, they can be an F1OE. Please do not judge the color of the egg you get by the results that will come by the future hen. For example, my Ice Eggers (F1OE that has a heavy bloom that makes it appear blue/ice) came from the exact F1OE eggs. You could end up with an Ice Egger. We also have our F1OE covered by a Welsummer rooster from heavily speckled lines and a Silverrudd's Blue from heavily speckled lines.
This dozen is a mix of all my BackCrosses. It includes my Root Beer Eggers and may include the Chocolate Truffle Eggers, in addition to, BC1, BC2, BC3 eggers. This dozen will include the varying shades of olives in my current Back Cross program. Please remember that it is the eariler generation of Olive Eggers that make the Root Beer Eggers and the Root Beer Eggers make the Chocolate Truffle Eggers and the Chocolate Truffle eggers should make an even darker shade of brown if the hens inherit that gene.
If you want to see the full spectrum of all of our multi-generational olive eggers, I post photos daily on Facebook and Instagram of what the girls are currently laying! These photos are for reference only of the variety of Olive Eggs you will get. This listing is for 12 eggs, I try to include 2 extra of some variety.
This price includes shipping. I can ship 1 dozen (12 eggs) via USPS Priority Mail. These are shipped in Egg Foam Shippers and double boxed. I include "HOLD FOR PICKUP" and the phone number you provided on the invoice. This does NOT guarantee that the Post Office will call you. YOU need to go and speak to them and let them know you want to pick it up.

ABOUT OUR BIRDS
Our birds are hand raised and handled daily. They are pasture raised and supplemented with a non-GMO, six-way scratch feed, non-GMO Grower Feed, and non-GMO layer feed by Nature Crest. Additionally, they get Cluckin Good Herbs from Scratch-N-Peck, organic sesame seeds, organic flax seeds, kelp, mealworms, black soldier flies, and table scraps. They roam our pastures 24/7/365 and live out in the fresh mountain air and sunshine. They are never sick, never have parasites, and are very hearty, healthy birds. We maintain a very small flock.
Reviews
I’m truly shocked at my experience with Burberry homestead. 12 out of 14 eggs hatched and my ladies are starting to lay the most incredible eggs I’ve ever seen. Not only that, her birds are extremely hardy and haven’t given me any issues and so friendly! Already ordered more eggs for next year!
Eggs were absolutely beautiful and I had a fantastic hatch rate. Can’t wait to watch these little chicks grow up!
